What we do at Arc 1950.

So, we are now all preparing ourselves for the annual trip to the mountains - down the gym twice, visited Snow and Rock and dusted down the French GCE. Prepared? Probably not but remain calm, all is well, ATDV is looking forward to offering you a great place for a proper glass of wine or real beer. For those punters looking for more sophistication and less intrusion (nasally, orally and visually) then ATDV remains the venue of choice.

With themed tastings at least three nights a week together with a happy couple of hours on Saturday there should be a little of what you fancy at some stage during the proceedings.

And if you have been unable or unwilling to make a booking for dinner at one of the resort restaurants then we at least can sort out the accompaniments to the evening. Whilst there is a definite French bias (for obvious reasons) we have a great selection from the rest of the wine growing world ranging in price from 5 -180 euros (rest assured though majority are nearer 4 than 180!).

Richard and his colleagues will be only too happy to help in the selection process, or answer any questions you may have on wine, skiing or practically any subject you can think of.

If all the above, "The Blog"(see left) and the added attraction of skiing in one of the largest ski areas in the world have tempted you into booking the winter holiday Erna Low do great package deals to Arc 1950 and the link gives plenty of info about the rest of the resort as well.

We look forward to welcoming you into the ATDV at some point in the season, and should you have any special requests please drop Richard an email and we will do our best to accommodate them.

Stores that have opened include a children's clothes outlet, sweet shop, jewellery boutique and wine/spirits store. The latter is owned by a (British) owner and is staffed by a couple of Brits. The products here are very competitively priced so don't think you have to stock up in Bourg to get good quality drink at affordable prices!
