So Paddy's day dawns grey and threatening but luckily not a hint of green anywhere except for some dodgy looking hats in evidence. The much trumpeted snow has finally arrived with a vengeance - Wednesday's storm had people walking the street in full ski gear including goggles! Another top up yesterday and today means that rather than ice skates, snorkels are the order of the day.
Last week was, as I am sure you are aware, "Le Village enchantee" which contrary to popular belief didn't mean lots of elves and fairies running around but some seriously good magicians performing in the Manoir Savoie auditorium. However as with many of the animations here there was a very poor turn out but those sensible enough to go and watch were very impressed - if you are looking at next years dates already, and they put the shows on again they really are worthwhile.
Looking forward to the Easter holidays (which have basically already started given the number of children in ski schools) when the village is going to be packed. If you are coming out then and are looking to eat out you need to get booking the restaurants now. Last week there were a number of people saying they were struggling to get anywhere on Thursday and Friday nights.
Drop me a line if you are in the resort shortly and I will look forward to welcoming you in the bar. Till next time....
